April in New York

2019 is a year of change. I can feel my energy moving into a total reboot. I had a great season in 2018 promoting “Tell Me the Truth.” I also recorded a new project titled, “Ruby” in dedication to my mother who passed on January 9th. Kenny Werner, Harry Allen, Dean Johnson and Alvester Garnett played beautiful melodies with me for two days. I haven’t finished the project, but I will soon.

March 8th, The New Jersey Jazz Society presented me with a beautiful “Distinguished Musician Award” for my years of creative projects. I sat in with Adrian Cunningham’s band, one of the featured artists for The Pee Wee Russell Stomp, a yearly event for NJJS. Catherine Russell was the star. We had a great time.
